Here's a very cool "model sheet" of various GENE DEITCH Terrytoons characters, including TOM TERRIFIC. Note that The Mad Elephant became Silly Sidney. Saw this a while ago on one of my Facebook friend's page...may have been Jerry Beck.
I want to wish NOEL NEILL a speedy recovery from injuries received in a recent fall! It's reported that TV's LOIS LANE fell last week and injured her right leg and hip. She suffered no broken bones, but deep bruising will require weeks of convalescence. Ms. Neill has cancelled her WonderCon appearances in San Francisco, April 2 - 4. I've had the pleasure of meeting NOEL NEILL a few times, and she has always been very gracious and happy to talk about her time playing LOIS LANE on The Adventures of Superman, which starred GEORGE REEVES. Get well, NOEL NEILL!

This is the first, and only, edition published in 1993 by Blackbear Press. The book is in EXCELLENT condition. The binding is tight...there are no rips or tears anywhere on or in the book...no writing or scribbling on any of the pages...the book is very clean! This is a softcover edition...176 pages...all black & white...8.5" x 11". This is an extremely rare and long out-of-print historical retrospective of FILMATION STUDIOS. Always enjoyed THE INSPECTOR cartoons! Produced in the 1960s as theatrical cartoons by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, THE INSPECTOR is clearly based on Peter Sellers' character Inspector Clouseau in the PINK PANTHER film series. Most of us remember seeing THE INSPECTOR cartoons on TV's THE PINK PANTHER SHOW. The great PAT HARRINGTON, JR. provided the voice for THE INSPECTOR.
I still have a few sets of the HANNA-BARBERA title cards available. All 14 COLORFUL title cards are of EXCELLENT quality. Each separate title card image is beautifully reproduced on its own sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" Hammermill color copy paper. The paper is of heavier weight to prevent the paper from curling at the edges. I was just enjoying the 1965 TV cartoons of THE THREE STOOGES on DVD. RHINO released a couple of volumes a few years ago. I remember watching the STOOGES cartoons on Chicago's Ch. 44 WSNS around 1974 - 1975.

I love the simple, yet very effective, lay-out and design of this 1963 DUMBO comic book cover! Everything reads so clearly here. Love the striped background behind the cover lettering and the characters! Very cool how DUMBO's left ear frames TIMOTHY.

Here's another piece from one of my public domain DVD insert projects. This was done for a cartoon compilation release that featured the 1943 Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon, PIGS IN A POLKA. The cartoon was produced by Leon Schlesinger and directed by Friz Freleng. I submitted this pencil layout to the project's art director for approval, then completed the final color art. Just found this as I was going through one of my files. It's the 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" original art that was used as the insert art for a DVD release of MIGHTY MOUSE & FRIENDS. The DVD featured public domain cartoons of MIGHTY MOUSE, PORKY PIG, LITTLE LULU and others. I did this for East West DVD of North Hollywood, CA in 2006. The art is markers, colored pencil, brush & ink on coquille board. If you'd like to own this original art, just e-mail me at powsley@flash.net.
