1965 HANNA-BARBERA SAFETY SIGNS - Part 1

Perhaps all of the Hanna-Barbera afficionados out there have seen these 1965 Hanna-Barbera safety signs, but I wanted to post them for everyone else to see just how cool they are. I'm not exactly sure who illustrated the safety signs. Does anyone know? There were 36 safety signs produced...here's the first three. I'll be posting three H-B safety signs each day on my blog. Click on each image for a larger view. Be sure to check back! Hope you enjoy these! - Patrick Owsley

Patrick,

It seems that was Pete Alvarado who drew these Hanna-Barbera safety signs from 1965. He drew several stories from various Gold Key comic book titles, as the ones from Hanna-Barbera, Disney, Warner (Looney Tunes), Walter Lantz and much more.

Do you own the actual signs? If so, how big are they and where did you get them?

These are 8.5x11 color photocopies of the signs.

Fixing: these materials were drawn by Iwao Takamoto and Jerry Eisenberg.
