This is the cover for the new DASTARDLY & MUTTLEY - OPERATION: PIGEON PURSUIT PS2 video game from Blast Entertainment in the UK. I pencilled, inked and did the color design for the cover art. The art was colored by Jeff Victor. I had previously posted the color art without the logos, rating box, etc. on March 23, 2007. So here is the cover art as it will appear. Thanks, again, to Joanne Wenn at Blast Entertainment and to David Cohen (formerly of Warner Bros.) for this fun project!

ROSEMARY - HONG KONG PHOOEY licensing art
I really like the character design of ROSEMARY from Hanna-Barbera's HONG KONG PHOOEY. The character was designed by Marty Murphy. Murphy, best known for his PLAYBOY cartoons, was doing character design work for Hanna-Barbera in the early 70s. His other H-B work included WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME. I inked this ROSEMARY licensing art with brush & ink. It was for the current HONG KONG PHOOEY style guide produced by Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The art was pencilled by Mike Fontanelli. PEBBLES & BAMM-BAMM licensing art
A few of the 1965 Hanna-Barbera safety signs that I've recently posted have featured PEBBLES & BAMM-BAMM from THE FLINTSTONES. One of the last projects that I worked on while on-staff at Warner Bros. Consumer Products was a style guide of PEBBLES & BAMM-BAMM character art. The style guide was called "Cave Kids" (not to be confused with the 1960s Hanna-Barbera Gold Key comic book series or the Little Golden Book of the same title). I inked the entire style guide, which consisted of approximately 60 character poses. The style guide also featured DINO and BABY PUSS. All of the character art was penciled by the very talented Mark Christiansen. I inked Mark's pencil art with brush & ink on duralene. I should mention that PEBBLES & BAMM-BAMM were designed by the great Gene Hazelton! Click on each image to enlarge. You can contact me at powsley@flash.net . Thanks! - Patrick Owsley

1965 HANNA-BARBERA SAFETY SIGNS - Part 1
Perhaps all of the Hanna-Barbera afficionados out there have seen these 1965 Hanna-Barbera safety signs, but I wanted to post them for everyone else to see just how cool they are. I'm not exactly sure who illustrated the safety signs. Does anyone know? There were 36 safety signs produced...here's the first three. I'll be posting three H-B safety signs each day on my blog. Click on each image for a larger view. Be sure to check back! Hope you enjoy these! - Patrick Owsley
