Remember seeing these SLIM JIM advertisements in your comic books back in the 70s? I sure do! Here's DRACULA and the WOLF MAN enjoying their SLIM JIMs, illustrated by the legendary JACK DAVIS. Click on each image for a larger view!
Jack Davis (from the Mad magazine fame) is a brilliant cartoonist. He is one of the members who founded the Mad magazine in 1952, along with Harvey Kurtzman, John Severin, Melvin Severin, Basil Wolverton, Will Elder and Wallace Wood. Among all of them, just Jack Davis and John Severin are still alive. And seeing the Slim Jim meat snacks ads that Jack Davis drew in the 70s, this product remember very much the Jack Links meat snacks which are sold here in Brazil.
We cannot forget that Jack Davis also did the character designs from The Jackson Five Show, produced by Rankin/Bass in association with Motown Productions, in 1972.
