WOODY WOODPECKER PUZZLE PAINTING

Here's another cool WOODY WOODPECKER original cartoon painting that was used for a puzzle. I believe this is from the early 1970s. That's KNOTHEAD & SPLINTER stealing WOODY's pancakes.

SPACE MOUSE

One of my favorite WALTER LANTZ characters...SPACE MOUSE! Here's a 1962 SPACE MOUSE Dell comic book.

WOODY WOODPECKER CARTOON PAINTINGS

Love these WOODY WOODPECKER cartoon paintings! These were all used for puzzles in the 1960s and 1970s. The top and bottom paintings feature SPACE MOUSE and KNOTHEAD & SPLINTER.

DALLAS McKENNON - 1919-2009

DALLAS McKENNON passed away this morning at the age of 89. McKENNON was probably best known as the voice of ARCHIE ANDREWS for Filmation's, THE ARCHIE SHOW. He was also the voice of GUMBY and BUZZ BUZZARD (Woody Woodpecker).

BLACK CAT

Black cats go well with the Halloween season. This is the detail from a recent WOODY WOODPECKER DVD cover painting. The DVD cover painting is for sale. If you're interested, I can e-mail you a scan of the entire image. Just e-mail me at powsley@flash.net. Thanks! -- Patrick Owsley

MORE CARTOON PAINTINGS!

Both of these are from Western Printing and were created for puzzles. Looks like they are both from the early 1970s. Great cartoon paintings of WOODY WOODPECKER (with KNOTHEAD and SPLINTER) and the ROAD RUNNER!

WOODY WOODPECKER CARTOON PAINTINGS

Here are terrific examples of great cartoon painting! This is the front and back cover to WOODY WOODPECKER's COUNTY FAIR #5 from 1956. GREAT stuff!
