FLINTSTONES COLORING BOOK COVER ART!

I was going through my files tonight, and found this original art piece that I inked of PEBBLES, BAMM-BAMM and DINO. As you can see below...the detail area of PEBBLES and DINO was used as the cover image for a recent FLINTSTONES coloring and activity book.

What a terrific cover design! This is 1962's TOM and JERRY FUNHOUSE from Gold Key Comics. I really wish today's graphic "designers" who work with classic cartoon product, would look at stuff like this for inspiration. Some do, but most have no genuine interest...and it shows in their work. Most graphic "designers" today have no basic design skills or sense.

Just added these Funko SPEED RACER and RACER X bobbleheads to my collection. Loved watching SPEED RACER on Chicago's WFLD-TV Ch. 32 when I was a kid! I enjoy the DVD sets today! 8^)

I recently picked up this cool CHICAGO CUBS 1969 vintage-style bobblehead by Forever Collectibles. It's fully licensed by Major League Baseball and there are a wide variety of teams available.

Went to a comic book show at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium today. On my way home, I drove past the Felix Chevrolet car dealership on S. Figueroa St. near the USC campus. I took these pics from my car of the dealer's cool sign!
