HONG KONG PHOOEY HOT WHEELS!

Saw this tonight at my local Ralphs market...a Hot Wheels HONG KONG PHOOEY '34 Ford Sedan Delivery truck. I inked the HONG KONG PHOOEY character that was used on the blister card!  Cool!  8^)

Above is SPOT...one of my inkings for HONG KONG PHOOEY licensing.

Here's Charlton Comics' HONG KONG PHOOEY #6 from 1976.

NUMBER ONE SUPER GUY!

I was happy to see my HONG KONG PHOOEY character art inkings used on the recent HKP Funko Force vinyl figure packaging. I believe the character art used here was penciled by IWAO TAKAMOTO.

NEW FUNKO FORCE HANNA-BARBERA TV STARS FIGURES

Be sure to pick up these new Funko Force Hanna-Barbera TV Stars vinyl figures! Brian Mariotti and Funko have done another great job with these latest additions to their Hanna-Barbera Collection line.

Each figure of HONG KONG PHOOEY, SECRET SQUIRREL and CAPTAIN CAVEMAN stands 6" tall. Very nice package design on these, as well! I inked the character art used on the HONG KONG PHOOEY and SECRET SQUIRREL cylindrical packaging

HONG KONG PHOOEY's ROSEMARY!

The other day, I received an e-mail from voice actress and screen writer, KATHY GORI. Kathy was the voice of ROSEMARY on Hanna-Barbera's HONG KONG PHOOEY. After she saw my April 21, 2007 posting of ROSEMARY character art inkings, Kathy wrote --
"I was the voice of Rosemary for Hong Kong Phooey, and you made "me" look great! Unfortunately I never got any of the original cells from Hong Kong Phooey, I wish I had. I do have some cells of my character Katie on Valley of the Dinosaurs, but that show wasn't as cool as Hong Kong. I did a lot of work for Hanna-Barbera , it's nice to see people remember the shows. Cheers, Kathy Gori"
Kathy later told me that she really enjoyed recording her voice work with HONG KONG PHOOEY co-stars, SCATMAN CROTHERS and JOE E. ROSS! Today, Kathy lives in northern California where she and her husband, Alan, are a screen writing team. Glad you liked the art, Kathy! It was great to hear from you.
