MORE CLASSIC COMIC LOGOS!

More sensational classic comic logos designed by IRA SCHNAPP!  Schnapp is one of my all-time favorite letterers/logo designers.  Incidentally, the drawing of Scooter on his motorcycle within the logo, was done by JOE ORLANDO.  8^)

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE DC COLLECTION!

The latest additions to my DC "Silver Age" comic book collection...SHOWCASE #68, #69, #71 and SWING WITH SCOOTER #3. The SHOWCASE books feature a rock group spoof of The Monkees called THE MANIAKS! Love the go-go check cover banner on the 1966 and 1967 DC covers! My favorite era of DC Comics! 8^)

HENRY SCARPELLI

Veteran cartoonist HENRY SCARPELLI has passed away at the age of 79. I really enjoyed SCARPELLI's work for ARCHIE COMICS and his work on DC's SWING WITH SCOOTER, but my favorite is the ABBOTT & COSTELLO comic book work he did for Charlton Comics. HENRY SCARPELLI is also the father of actor GLENN SCARPELLI.
