SHERMAN - CHARACTER "PAINTING"
Recently, I've been looking at a lot of old TV cartoon character paintings that you see on 1960s merchandise like Little Golden Books, Whitman coloring book covers, frame tray puzzles, etc. I think it's the best era of TV cartoon merchandise. Here's SHERMAN from Jay Ward's PEABODY'S IMPROBABLE HISTORY. I did this 6" x 9" piece with markers and colored pencils on coquille board. Click image for a larger view.
