Early FLINTSTONES publicity art. From the looks of FRED and BARNEY's hair, this was probably done for the second season.

After 32 years, artist and writer DICK LOCHER is retiring from the DICK TRACY newspaper strip. The strip is being taken over by artist JOE STATON and writer MIKE CURTIS. Their first strip will appear on March 14th. I've been a fan of DICK LOCHER's work for years! I have enjoyed his editorial cartoons that appeared in the Chicago Tribune and, of course, his work on DICK TRACY! I attended a terrific lecture that LOCHER gave at Columbia College Chicago when I was going to school there back in 1988. Congratulations to JOE STATON and MIKE CURTIS! I've always enjoyed STATON's work. I will miss the work of DICK LOCHER, though! DICK TRACY was created by CHESTER GOULD. You can read more HERE!
My marker and colored pencil work...based on a WILMA & FRED FLINTSTONE black and white licensing piece by Craig Kellman.
Here's one of my brush inkings for FLINTSTONES licensing. Below is the pencil art by Mike Fontanelli.
Here's one of my SPEEDY GONZALEZ brush inkings for LOONEY TUNES licensing. Below is the "before" pencil art. I'm not sure who did the pencil art originally. If any of my former Warner Bros. Consumer Products character artist co-workers know, please let me know!
MARVEL-OUS! I give this book my highest recommendation! Designer-extraordinaire CHIP KIDD and photographer GEOFF SPEAR, with the incredible CAPTAIN MARVEL / MARVEL FAMILY collection of HARRY MATETSKY, have collaborated on the sensational book, SHAZAM! THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE WORLD'S MIGHTIEST MORTAL. If you haven't yet picked up this book, order it today! Read more HERE!

I'm very much enjoying Season 5 of ROCKY & BULLWINKLE AND FRIENDS - The Complete Series DVD set! Even before the fifth season, the show was called THE BULLWINKLE SHOW.
I had this Hanna-Barbera's SAMSON AND GOLIATH coloring book when I was about 4 or 5 years old...I remember it well! Still love all of the HANNA-BARBERA SUPER TV HEROES!
Leslie and I had another great visit to DISNEYLAND today! Perfect weather and it wasn't crowded...we literally walked right into PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and the HAUNTED MANSION. On this visit, we rode the DISNEYLAND RAILROAD around the park and saw the very cool PRIMEVAL WORLD exhibit that Walt Disney created for the 1964 World's Fair in New York. We try to do and see a few different attractions each time we go to DISNEYLAND.
Just ordered the newly-released FOGHORN LEGHORN & FRIENDS DVD! All 15 cartoons are offered in both full-screen and wide-screen options. One of the "FRIENDS" cartoons is THE HONEYMOUSERS in "Cheese It, the Cat!". Looking forward to this one!
Here's one of my FOGHORN LEGHORN (and BARNYARD DOG) inkings that I did for LOONEY TUNES licensing. Below is the pencil art by Mike Fontanelli.

I've been enjoying going through my collection of "treasury-size" edition comic books! Love this SHAZAM! issue from 1974! I always thought the SHAZAM! logo was so well-designed...and I love C.C. BECK's cover art of CAPTAIN MARVEL and BILLY BATSON!
