RUDOLPH and FRIENDS!

My cover art for a public domain DVD release featuring the classic Max Fleischer RUDOLPH cartoon and a very cool Halas & Batchelor cartoon, THE CHRISTMAS VISITOR! Thanks to East West DVD Art Director Steve Banes for this fun assignment! You still may be able to pick this one up at your local 99 Cents store. 8^)

Below is the character / tree art and background art that I did for the above RUDOLPH AND FRIENDS DVD cover. The DVD is a collection of public domain Christmas-themed cartoons, including a really cool SANTA cartoon produced by HALAS AND BATCHELOR! It was a pleasure working with Art Director Steve Banes on the East West DVD cover projects. This original art, along with a once-viewed copy of the RUDOLPH AND FRIENDS DVD, is for sale. I'm asking $35.00 for everything...with FREE shipping! E-mail me at powsley@flash.net.

DODO THE KID FROM OUTER SPACE

Here's an illustration I did in 2006 for a public domain DVD release of DODO THE KID FROM OUTER SPACE cartoons. The series was produced by HALAS AND BATCHELOR in 1965. Incidentally, JOSEPH E. LEVINE was involved in the production of DODO. LEVINE was the Executive Producer of Rankin/Bass' MAD MONSTER PARTY.
