GREAT HERA! HAPPY HALLOWEEN from WONDER WOMAN!

WONDER WOMAN!

I've been enjoying WONDER WOMAN on DVD...starring LYNDA CARTER!  The first season is my favorite, as it took place during World War II.  8^)

A big thank you to Dave Levy at BIG KID Collectable Toy Mall and Retro Store in Sherman Oaks, CA for this very cool Moebius WONDER WOMAN plastic model kit! It's a re-issue of the 1960s Aurora kit. I highly recommend this WONDER WOMAN model!

MIKE ESPOSITO PASSES AWAY - SILVER AGE WONDER WOMAN INKER!

Loved the art team of ROSS ANDRU & MIKE ESPOSITO on the Silver Age WONDER WOMAN! MIKE ESPOSITO was 83.

Here's another one that I remember buying off the spinner rack...WONDER WOMAN #212 from 1974! Love this cover!

100 PAGES FOR ONLY 60 CENTS!

I bought these right off of the spinner rack in 1974! WONDER WOMAN #214 and SHAZAM! #12...loved these then, and still do!

SUPER FRIENDS 1973

I'm really enjoying this week's DVD release of SUPER FRIENDS. The DVD is Season 1-Volume 1 of the 1973 Hanna-Barbera production that featured SUPERMAN, BATMAN, ROBIN, AQUAMAN, WONDER WOMAN, MARVIN, WENDY and WONDER DOG. I loved this show when it premiered in September of 1973. I think this DVD collection of the first animated adventures of the SUPER FRIENDS legacy deserved much better packaging and special features from Warner Home Video. The DVD's packaging and discs feature character art that appears to be from a 1980s DC Comics style guide with some lame-looking SUPER FRIENDS logo. The show featured terrific character designs by the legendary ALEX TOTH and had a nicely designed logo...all of which are completely absent from the packaging. There really are no special features included on this 2-disc DVD set...only a SUPER FRIENDS TRIVIA CHALLENGE. I am enjoying watching the episodes. It brings back a lot of good memories! Above and below are my SUPER FRIENDS sketch cards, which are available to own. E-mail me at powsley@flash.net for details!

Yesterday, I had posted the BATMAN sketch card from this SUPERFRIENDS set. Here's BATMAN included with the rest of the SUPERFRIENDS...AQUAMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, ROBIN, and those junior Superfriends, MARVIN, WENDY and WONDERDOG! This sketch card set is based on the original 1973 SUPERFRIENDS character designs by ALEX TOTH. Each sketch card measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and is markers, brush & ink on 80 lb. Strathmore textured card stock. To own this SUPERFRIENDS sketch card set, e-mail me at powsley@flash.net.
