I was just looking through my copy of the book, PEANUTS - THE ART OF CHARLES M. SCHULZ. Beautifully designed and edited by CHIP KIDD and published by Pantheon in 2001, the book is sensational! If you don't already own this book by now, order it today or go pick it up at your local bookstore! This is certainly a MUST-HAVE book for any PEANUTS fan.

ELROY JETSON FOR ELECTRASOL!

A couple of years ago, Electrasol Automatic Dishwasher Detergent used ELROY JETSON character art on their packaging. I inked the art, which was penciled by IWAO TAKAMOTO. At the time, Electrasol was using THE JETSONS in their animated TV commercials. Click on the photo for a larger view!

GOTHAM CITY POLICE HQ - 1966 BATMAN TV SHOW

Here's something for the 1966 BATMAN TV show fan! As you know, BATMAN and ROBIN (Adam West and Burt Ward) were shown running up the front steps of Gotham City Police Headquarters at the beginning of many episodes. The "building" is located on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, CA. A few years ago, while working as a Character Artist / Inker at Warner Bros. Consumer Products, I walked over to the "building" and took these photos. Being a great fan of the BATMAN TV show, it was neat to see the facade that was Gotham City Police Headquarters. Published in 1968 by Western Publishing of Racine, WI, the coloring book is from the Western Printing / Golden Book Archive.
