FROM MY COLLECTION...

What a terrific cover design! This is 1962's TOM and JERRY FUNHOUSE from Gold Key Comics. I really wish today's graphic "designers" who work with classic cartoon product, would look at stuff like this for inspiration. Some do, but most have no genuine interest...and it shows in their work. Most graphic "designers" today have no basic design skills or sense.

While at WB Stores I often worked with designers who had no interest in cartoon properties, so my art would come back to me after being colored with deep brown and dark maroons completely destroying the backgrounds and turning everything to mud. I always wondered why they were in a cartoon-based profession.

I completely understand what you're saying, Vince. My experience with those "designers" comes from my days at WB Consumer Products.
